Condition Your Leather
Conditioners work like lotion is to our skin. Conditioning your leather is a way to prevents against it drying out and cracking.
It is gently rubbed into the leather. If you are seeking a more rough look in the leather, then condition it every 6 -12 months for a more sleek look condition every 3 months or more. The number of times you need to condition your leather could depend on how dry your climate is.
Add Lanolin to Soften
Lanolin comes from the natural secretion of sheep. Similar to condition lanolin helps moisturize the leather, but it softens the leather as well. This care tip is dependent on how you want your leather to be. Apply as much lanolin to how rigid or bend you want your leather to be.
Waterproofing your Leather
Waterproofing your leather comes in the forms of sprays and waxes. You need only to do this once a year, but it might be needed more depending on the winter or the rainy season. Sprays are convenient but come at a lower quality, while waxes have greater precision and are a more durable treatment.
Cleaning
The best way to clean your leather is by using a damp cloth. There is not need for soap, but once a week wiping your leather down is the best way to keep the dust and grime off of it.
